In 2010 there were eight of us in a garage in Croatia, and not one of us had an automotive background. Professors at the university told us a car could not be built here and that we would ruin ourselves. Our first investor agreed everything and then asked us to move the company to Abu Dhabi, so we walked away with no Plan B. Having no money is the reason Rimac had to build its own technology, and that technology is the reason the company exists today.
